Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is a superhero film based on the DC character Aquaman. The film is directed by James Wan and produced by DC Studios, Atomic Monster, and The Safran Company. It is the sequel to Jason Momoa‘s Aquaman and the 15th and final installment in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU). The movie is set to be released in the United States on December 22, 2023.
The plot of the movie is as follows: Several years after the events of the first film, Arthur Curry / Aquaman is forced to protect Atlantis and his loved ones from devastation after an ancient power is unleashed by David Kane / Black Manta obtaining the cursed Black Trident. To accomplish this, he should look for help from unlikely ally, his half-brother Orm.

Aquaman and the Lost kingdom : Story/Plot
Aquaman/Arthur Curry has married Mera and had a son, Arthur Jr., while splitting his life between land and the sea. David Kane, a former mercenary, follows the research of marine scientist Stephen Shin to look for Atlantean artifacts. David finds a black trident that leads him to be possessed by its creator, Kordax, the brother of Atlantis founder King Atlan and ruler of the lost kingdom of Necrus. Arthur fights David to stop him from injuring Arthur Jr., and David almost defeats Arthur before Orm arrives and disarms him of the black trident.
As Orm gets hold of the trident, the spirit of Kordax leaves David for Orm, who proceeds to fight Arthur and use his blood to thaw the ice imprisoning the body of Kordax. Arthur throws the black trident at Kordax, who catches it in mid-air, before throwing his own trident to destroy it and fatally impale Kordax. With Kordax’s magic disappearing, Necrus begins to collapse, and as David hangs from a crevice, he denies Arthur’s assistance and hurls himself down the bluff to his demise.
The Atlanteans and Shin departure to somewhere safe and secure, and Arthur and Mera choose to let Orm proceed to tell the remainder of Atlantis that he passed on, on the condition he stays stowed away. Arthur concludes that joining area and ocean is important to battle environmental change. He later reveal Atlantis to the human world through a declaration at the Unified Countries, with the expectation of making the submerged kingdom a part state.
